A unique place

The Nautical Base Campsite is nestled in the heart of a preserved natural environment in Saint-Rome-de-Tarn, in Aveyron. Surrounded by the magnificent landscapes of the River Tarn and the surrounding green hills, our campsite offers an idyllic setting to enjoy nature.

Preserve nature

Here, nature is our best ally and we strive to preserve this exceotional environment which is dear to us.

We have always adopted pratices aimed at safeguarding this environment, implementing various initiatives. These actions include simple actions such as sorting, composting, the exclusive use of LED bulbs, mulching, the use of ecological household products, the recovery of rainwater, the non-use of weedkillers of fertilizers, etc.

We work largely with local and/or organic producers for our restaurant, we grow our aromatic herbs and some vegetables which are served directly ot you, and we emphasize seasonal, homemade products...

Of course, we do not claim to be perfect, and there is still much to do to improve our impact, but we are fully invested in improving our practices.

Greenkey label, Refuge LPO, commited 0 Phyto, Occitanie Tourisme Quality and soon European Eco-Label, these labels reflect our commitments, both to humans and to the nature that surrounds us !

Welcome in the family !

But this campsite is also a family story...

It was in the 70s that my mother discovered this little paradise during a summer vacation. It was love at first sight and the family was never going to leave this green setting. I set foot on the campsite lawns for the first time the year I was born in 1986. Until 2005 I spent unforgettable moments there every summer. It was in 2006 that Annie, my mother, Laurent, my father, and I, took the reins of the campsite for a crazy family adventure.

How far we have come since then... I won't give you the details of the many slices of life, happy or unhappy, lived here and which have reinforced my pleasure a little more each day in welcoming you to this place. Today the baton has been passed on to me and it is another family that welcomes you, the one that we created together with Magali, Vanille, Pierre, Seb, Raph, this family that works all year round to give you the best of this place.

This family is also our seasonal workers, who have become friends or who already were before joining the team. This family is also Jess, my partner, never far away when the need arises and Elio, my son, never far from the ice cream freezer !
